FAQ

What is SBB, and how is it different from a typical study-abroad consultancy?

SBB (Shine Beyond Borders) is an institute that trains young Vietnamese and takes them out into the world through real professional skills, not just a ticket to study abroad.

Most agencies stop at paperwork and visas. SBB builds real capability, so you are trusted and valued in an international setting, not simply "able to go".

We train vocational skills, an international work mindset and applied language, and we connect you directly with employers in Australia. Before each journey, you take a structured skills assessment so you know exactly what to prepare.

Who is this program for? What do I need to get started?

SBB is for young people who want to build an international career on real skills, whether you just finished high school, are a student, or are already working and want a new direction.

You do not need an advanced degree or fluent English to begin. What matters most is a willingness to grow and to take your journey seriously. Everything starts with a skills assessment that identifies your starting point and the right path for you.

What if my English isn't strong yet, or I have no experience?

That's completely fine. The SBB path starts from the basics and builds up at each person's pace: from applied English and vocational skills to an international work ethic.

You don't need to be perfect at the start. You need the right path and a mentor who stays close. That's exactly what SBB does.

Which fields does SBB train in, and where does it send students?

We are strong in fields with high and lasting international demand: Culinary, Hospitality, Business & Management, and Marketing. Each field has its own training path, tied to our network of partner companies.

The main destination right now is Australia, where you practice and work for real in the field you chose. The SBB alumni community also spans many countries, a support base for you wherever you go.

How does the program work, and how long does it take?

The journey follows clear steps, not "sign up and wait":

  • 1 · Skills assessment: identify your starting point, goals and the right field.
  • 2 · Foundation training: vocational skills, applied English and an international work ethic.
  • 3 · Connect & practice: real work with partner companies.
  • 4 · Paperwork & departure: visa preparation, guidance and settling-in support abroad.

The timeline depends on your field and your starting point. In your consultation, you'll get a specific path with clear milestones made for you.

Roughly how much does it cost? Are there installments or scholarships?

Cost depends on your field, path and starting point, so instead of a vague figure, SBB breaks down every item transparently in your consultation so your family knows clearly before deciding.

The program is designed in stages, with flexible financial support options, so your family doesn't have to commit the full cost up front. The goal is that your investment always comes with real results at each step.

What if my family isn't ready to commit a large sum up front?

Everything starts with a free consultation and a skills assessment, no strings attached.

You'll see the path, the cost and the expected results clearly before you decide. SBB is designed in stages so your family stays in control throughout.

Does SBB help with visas, and what about permanent residency (PR)?

Yes. SBB supports you through the entire paperwork and visa process, and prioritizes career paths with long-term residency potential, not just a way to "go abroad".

Residency prospects depend on your field, your skills and the host country's policy at any given time, so SBB advises honestly on the most realistic path for your case, rather than promising anything uncertain.

Once abroad, can I work and earn an income?

Yes. One of the biggest strengths of the SBB path is that you study and work for real in the very field you're pursuing, through our network of partner companies.

Income levels depend on the field, region and each person's skills, but the goal is clear: to help you reach financial independence early and build valuable experience, not just work part-time to get by.

How do I know the program is really worth the cost?

We measure by real results: work in your field, income levels and a residency path, not promises.

  • 86% of students grow their income by more than 50% within 12 months, or move up into a management role.
  • 93% land a job or internship in their field within the first 45 days in the host country.
  • 81% stay engaged and keep building their international career after 18 months.

Once the foundation of skills is solid, results become predictable.

What if my visa is refused or I change plans partway through?

SBB understands this is a big decision for the whole family, so the path is designed in stages to keep you in control, rather than betting everything on one attempt.

Situations like an unfavorable application or a change of plans all have clear handling and policies. We discuss them transparently from the start so you feel secure about your rights before you commit.

After I move abroad, does SBB stay with me?

Yes. SBB stays with you for the whole journey: from preparing in Vietnam, to settling in during your first months abroad, to when you're steady in your work and your residency path.

The SBB alumni community across many countries is a support base so you never have to go it alone.
